Toby and I took Max and Toby's parents- Carolyn and Andrew on a day trip to Volendam, a small village on the Markemeer. The thing to do there is walk along the waterfront and dress up like locals to get your photo taken. So we did. And then followed it up with appeltart, poffetjies, haring and kibeling. Swung by Edam on the way home and picked up some cheese too. Couldn't get more dutch if you stuck a clog on it. Which we did as well. Crikey.
